JCSU men's basketball team will make its season debut at home against Belmont Abbey on Wednesday

Charlotte, N.C. – Under the leadership of Stephen Joyner, Sr., in his 33rd season, the Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball program will begin its 2019-20 season tonight hosting Belmont-Abbey College at the Jack S. Brayboy Gymnasium Wednesday, Nov. 13.

Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.

JCSU comes off a 10-18 campaign with a 5-13 record in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Conference. The Golden Bulls return 10 players from last year, including Cayse Minor who played in all 31 games while starting all 31 for the Golden Bulls. He averaged 9.0 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per outing and 1.8 assists per outing.

Belmont Abbey, runners-up in Conference Carolinas a year ago, has been voted as the 2019-20 pre-season pick.
