Powered by strong performances in relay and selected field events, the Johnson C. Smith men's track team has been ranked #18 in the nation in the weekly poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA)
Scoring 66.36 points in the Division II Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index, JCSU leaped 10 points from the previous week to break into the top 20.
Timor Barrett (400H), Tavian Stewart (long jump) and the 4X400 relay team (Sadiki Mcfarlane, Kelvin Simon, Garnett Jackson, Stewart) were significant contributors to the point total.
Garnett Jackson (400H), Zavier Lawrence (110H) and the 4X100 relay team (Jackson, Timor Barrett, Kelvin Simon, Matthew Fix) also contributed.
