CHARLOTTE, N.C. -The Johnson C. Smith University men's tennis team was swept by Salem University 7-0, Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Bulls were shut out in the doubles as Salem sophomores Gregor Lainer and Patryk Garwacki downed
Desire Johnson and
Marlowe Anderson 6-3 at No.1, freshman Bartosz Losiak and freshman Andrzej Urjasz defeated
Robert Graves and
Tayvon Lassiter 6-1 at No.2 and senior Antonio Shaw and senior Eugene Bour won 6-0 against
Cameron Hyman and
Anthony Jefferson at No.3.
In singles, at No.1 Jefferson was swept 6-0, 6-0, while at No.2,
Eric Lopez fell 6-0, 6-0.
At No.3, Johnson lost a 6-1, 6-0 decision, while at No.4 Anderson was downed 6-3, 6-0.
Lassiter was swept 6-0, 6-0 at No.5, while Hyman fell 6-3, 6-4 at No.6.
The Golden Bulls are back on the courts Friday (Apr 12) when they visit Queens University with a 2:00 p.m. start.
