Golden Bulls Head to Bowie St. Saturday

CHARLOTTE – The Johnson C. Smith University football team will look to get their first win on the season when they travel to Bowie, Md to face the Bulldogs of Bowie State University for a cross division contest on Saturday, October 2nd at Bulldogs Stadium.
 
The game is slated for a 2 p.m. ET kickoff with tickets still available. The game will broadcast live on the Bulldogs Sports Network. 

Despite a 0-3 start on the young season after falling to Allen on their home opener, The Golden Bulls are coming off a 43-7 loss last weekend to Virginia Union. Tyreik Leach rushed for 74 yards on 10 attempts, while quarterback Ollie Shepherd completed 17-for-33 passes for 207 yards and one touchdown in the setback.

All fans must show proof of full vaccination along with proper identification before entering the stadium. All fans and spectators must wear face coverings (masks or neck gaiters) at all times unless eating or drinking inside Bulldogs Stadium.

No. 23 Bowie State captured a 49-0 road win at Livingstone College last weekend. The last time Bowie State blanked their opponent was against Johnson C. Smith, 52-0 on Sept. 10 in Bowie, Md.
