JCSU Falls to Bowie St., 44-7

BOWIE, MD - Reggie Bryant scored the Golden Bulls only touchdown of the day as JCSU falls to the Bulldogs of Bowie State University 44-7, inside Bulldog Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Golden Bulls drop to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in CIAA play, while Bowie State improves to 4-1 and 2-0 on the year.

Davion Nelson rushed for 46 yards on 14 carries, while quarterback Ollie Shepherd completed 11-for-22 passes for 98 yards and one touchdown in the loss.

The Golden Bulls collected 164 total yards, 98 in passing and 66 on the ground.

Calil Wilkins ran for 123 yards on 13 attempts, while Quron Winder grabbed three passes on 63 yards and two touchdown for the Bulldogs. Jerome Johnson was 13-for-22 in pass completions for 227 yards and four touchdowns at the quarterback spot.

Up next, the Golden Bulls will host the Rams of Winston-Salem State University on Oct. 9 inside the Irwin Belk Complex. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
