Golden Bulls Top Va. Union 68-55, in Women’s Basketball

CHARLOTTE - Randi Neal poured a game-high 14 points to help lift the Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team to a 68-55 victory over Virginia Union University on Wednesday evening. The win improves JCSU to 4-3 on the season while VUU falls to 1-3 on the year.
 
Tori Reid chipped in 13 points and 12 rebounds while Aubriana Bonner added 12 points. Osha Makerson registered a game-high 11 points to go along with five rebounds.
 
For the contest, JCSU's bench outscored its opponent 44-26 the Golden Bulls held a 25-26 ratio off of the Panthers miscues while scoring 34 points in the paint compared to VUU's 32.
 
Union was paced by Darryn Zeigler who had 14 points and Raven Williams contributed 10 points and a team-best seven rebounds.
 
JCSU will close out the 2021 slate with home game against Bluefield State on Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. for its non-conference finale.
