Bonner scores 16, JCSU falls to Lincoln (Pa.), 85-63

LINCOLN, PA - Aubriana Bonner scored 16 points but the Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team dropped an 85-63 decision to the Lions of Lincoln (Pa.) University inside Manuel Rivero Hall on Thursday evening.

Shaniya Jones added 10 points to go along with one rebound while Bonner grabbed 10 rebounds on the night.

JCSU (5-5, 0-2) trailed by one (39-38) at the break.

For the contest, the Golden Bulls shot 39-percent from the floor (25-64), 31-percent from the three-point line (6-19) and nailed only 7-of-14 from the foul line for 50-percent. 

LU (8-3, 1-0) leading scorer Bryanna Brown scored 33 points of the night to lead the Lions.

The Golden Bulls will look to regroup and take some time off for Christmas. before traveling to the University of North Carolina Greensboro for a nonconference tilt on Sunday, Jan. 2 at 2:00 p.m.
