CHARLOTTE – Johnson C. Smith University women's volleyball team fell to Claflin University, 3-0 in in the Golden Bulls home opener on Monday evening inside Brayboy Gymnasium. The Panthers swept the Golden Bulls in three sets, 25-21, 25-18 and 25-17.
With the loss, JCSU drops to 0-6 and 0-2 on the season, while Claflin improves to 4-3 and 2-0 on the year.
Daivez Bell paced the Golden Bulls with seven kills and two blocks assisted, followed by
Jada Berry with six kills and 23 assists. Defensively,
Jeneene Lewis tabbed a game-high 10 digs.
The Golden Bulls return to action Saturday, October 2nd in the annual CIAA roundup, hosted by Winston-Salem State University.
