Augustine Ominu added a season-high 22, but the Golden Bulls fell 80-79, in overtime to the Rams of Winston-Salem State in CIAA basketball Wednesday night inside Brayboy Gym.
The Rams held a 42-40 scoring margin over the Golden Bulls in the second half that featured 13-of-223 shooting from the free throw line and 11-of-25 shots from the 3-point line. The win puts WSSU (12-5, 6-3 CIAA) 3-1 in the division standings while the Golden Bulls (4-11, 1-6 CIAA) dip to 1-3 in the southern division race.
JCSU will return to action Saturday, Jan. 29 hosting Claflin University for a CIAA Southern Division contest. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m.
