CHARLOTTE, N.C. -
Camri Goodwin and
Anya Valentine hauled in a match-high seven kills to help lead the Johnson C. Smith University women's volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep (25-20, 25-23, 25-17) over Livingstone College in a CIAA Southern division matchup, in New Trent Gym Monday night.
Valentine also handed out a match-high of three block and
Yasmine Cannon registered in 23 assists.
After five ties in the second set, Smith took control on a 5-1 spurt that gave the Golden Bulls the (18-15) lead they would not relent to take the set 25-20.
Smith will return to action Thursday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. to take on Winston-Salem State University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
