CHARLOTTE - Johnson C. Smith University women's volleyball (6-13) won its sixth game of the season with a 3-1 conference match at home against Livingstone College (1-18) Thursday night at Brayboy Gymnasium. The Golden Bulls defeated the Falcons, 25-13, 22-25, 25-20 and 25-16.
JCSU totaled 47 kills with 21 errors in 114 attack attempts (.228), nine service aces, 45 digs and 10 total blocks. Carmi Goodwin and Daviez Bell finished the night of with 18 and 14 kills.
Meanwhile, setter Yasmine Cannon dished out 35 assists and 12 digs while Monique Reid registered two assists and 16 digs.
JCSU will return to action on Monday, Oct. 31 in a CIAA Southern division matchup against the Falcons of Saint Augustine's University in Raleigh, N.C.
