CHARLOTTE - Johnson C. Smith University men's and women's track team opens the 2022-23 indoor track and field season this weekend in Winston-Salem, N.C., competing in the Winston-Salem College Kick-off event held in the JDL Indoor Fast Track on December 3.

Saturday's meet will be the only one on the 2022 slate, before running a full schedule at the turn of the calendar year.

Admission fee is $8 per person for adults.  Students ages 13 and up are $5.  Children 12 and under are free.
 
The track events are scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. with the preliminary events.
 
Field competition will start on Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. with the men's and women's weight throws, followed by the shot-put events and the long jump.

The meet is the lone meet in December, before the Golden Bulls return to Winston-Salem, N.C., to start the new year at the Mondo College Invite (January 14).
