CHARLOTTE - Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team suffered its seventh loss on the season by the hands Lincoln (Pa.) by a margin of 65-53 Monday afternoon. With the loss, JCSU stands (4-7, 0-2) on the season and Lincoln (Pa.) is 6-8, 1-1 overall.
Ezekiel Cannedy led the Golden Bulls in scoring with 14 points off of 3-for-6 shooting from the floor, including 2-for-3 from the three-point line and 6-for-8 from the foul line.
Cedric Patterson added 11 points on the night.
For the contest, JCSU came in averaging over 35 boards per outing; however, the Golden Bulls were out rebounded by the Lions 34-29. The Golden Bulls shot 28.1 percent (12-for-42) from the floor and 83.7 percent (25-for-30) from the charity stripe.
JCSU will have a 16-day break before its next game when they visit Shaw on Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 8 p.m., at C.C. Spaulding Gymnasium.
