Golden Bulls Does Well In First Indoor Meet of Season

WINSTON-SALEM - The Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls completed their first indoor meet of the season at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-off. The Golden Bulls got off to a strong start to the season with three athletes securing top-three finishes in the meet.
 
Zephaniah Cox, Jr., finished sixth overall in the 60-meter with a time of 7.00. Javion Watkins finished fourth in the field with 22.83 in 200-meter
  
The Golden Bulls 4x400 relay teams finished in the top four. The quartet Javion Watkins, Terry Towah, Jalen Jackson and Vegas Newport finished first second with a time of 3:24.54.
 
On the women's side, took a one two punch in the Women's Triple Jump as Aria Goode claimed first with a mark of 11.41m and Layla Simpson placed second with a mark of 11.09m.
 
Jordyn Head came in fourth in the women's 60m with a time of 7.67 as well as fourth in the 200m with a time of 26.08.

The women's 4x400 team of Trinity Bellamy-Reid, Cyan Peoples, Markayla Taylor and Alexandria Riley placed fifth with a time of 4:06.53.
 
The Golden Bulls are off for holiday break but return to action on January 14th for the Mondo College Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC
