CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team earned its fourth win on the season with a 76-73 victory over Bluefield State University, Sunday afternoon.

The victory improves JCSU to 4-3 on the young season while Bluefield State dropped to 6-2 on the year This is the second time BSU has fell to the Golden Bulls.
Shaniya Jones and
Tyliah Burns each led the Golden Bulls 22 points.
India Howard rounded out the Golden Bulls double-figure scoring with 15points and 12 rebounds.

The contest featured the Golden Bulls and the Blues with 11 lead changes 26 points in the paint.

JCSU connected on 50 percent (27-53) from the field with a 40.3 percent (8-20) from behind the arc. The Golden Bull also hit on 73.3 percent (14-19) of their free throws.Â

JCSU will return to action on Saturday, Dec. 10 to take on Division I foe Appalachian State, then return home to begin CIAA play.                                    Â
