JCSU snaps five game losing streak winning, 62-56 over Fayetteville State

Box Score CHARLOTTE - In a tightly contested Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Southern Division contest, the Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team snapped a five game losing streak to come away with a 62-56 road victory over Fayetteville State University on Saturday afternoon.

JCSU improves to 5-14 overall, 2-9 in the CIAA and 2-4 in the South while FSU (14-7, 9-2 CIAA) dips to 4-2 in the South.

Michael Roberson had a career night and scored 17 points performance on 6-of-11 shooting and 5-of-7 from behind the arc while Augustine Ominu tallied 14 points and five rebounds and Todd Johnson, II finished with 13 points and five rebounds.

The Golden Bulls hit 26-of-57 from the field for 43.1-percent shooting compared to FSU's 21-of-64 (32.9-percent).
