FOOTBALL PREPS FOR ROAD TEST AT CHOWAN

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University football team returns to action this Saturday for its first Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Conference showdown as the Golden Bulls take on the Hawks of Chowan University. Kickoff is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. at Garrison Stadium. 

The Golden Bulls are coming of a no contest against Allen University last Saturday. JCSU is 0-1 on the season.
 
Chowan opens up CIAA play after falling to 0-2 on the season after a 23-21 loss to Tusculum last weekend.  The Chowan defense will look to continue their trend of holding opponents under 25 points per game 
Saturday's game will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2017. The Hawks are 3-1 against Johnson C. Smith since 2008 and have won the last three meetings.
