JCSU Volleyball Get First Divisional Win over Claflin

ORANGEBURG, SC – The Johnson C. Smith University revenged an earlier season loss to the Claflin Lady Panthers (9-8, 5-7 CIAA) and the Golden Bulls (6-13, 4-9 CIAA), came away with a four-set win Monday evening, winning 28-26, 10-25, 23-25, and 23-25.
 
Camri Goodwin led the Golden Bulls with 25 kills. That is a career high for Goodwin this season. Goodwin also chipped in with 16 digs and three services aces on the night. On the defensive front, Monique Reid tallied a season high of 38 digs and Yasmine Cannon dished out 41 assists.
 
The Lady Panthers allowed 55 kills to the Golden Bears.
 
As a team, the Lady Panthers were led by Kyndall Perry and Taylin Johnson both totaled 11 kills in the match.
 
Next, the Golden Bulls will take on the Blue Bears of Livingstone College on Thursday, Oct. 26, inside Brayboy Gymnasium.
