JCSU To face Lincoln (Pa.) on Saturday

CHARLOTTE –– Johnson C. Smith University football comes into this game leading in the CIAA Southern Division and looks to extend that streak on Saturday, September 24 versus the Lions of Lincoln (Pa.) University. Kickoff is now set for 1 p.m. This is JCSU's first of three straight road games.
 
Last Saturday, the Golden Bulls got back in the win column by defeating new CIAA opponent Bluefield State 30-13 inside the Irwin Belk Complex.
 
With the win the Gold and Blue enters the HBCU Division II Coaches Poll powered by BOXTOROW, for the first time this season and is tied with Central State for the No. 10 spot.
 
The Lincoln University Lions, under the leadership of first year head coach Frank Turner, dominated the third quarter against the Fayetteville State University Broncos. Unfortunately, the Lions were not able to take the win, falling to FSU in a close 20-17 road contest.
 
Last time these two-team met was in 2022, when JCSU defeated LU 29-28, in Charlotte.
