CHARLOTTE | The weather wasn't what the Golden Bulls were looking for, however, JCSU relied on its ground attack as the Golden Bulls took a 27-20 win over the Lions of Lincoln (Pa.) University at the LU Athletic Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Bulls capped a 42-yard field goal from Al Garcia on a seven-play drive in the first quarter.
- Adams ran in from one yard out to extend the JCSU lead 10-0 with 1:55 in the first.
- LU's Elijah Snell got the Lions on the scoreboard with a five-yard run, 10-7.
- On the next play for Lincoln (Pa.) was a 65-yard touchdown from Isaiah Freeman to Eli Riddick, for LU's first and only lead of the game.
- A one yard run by Shydem McCullough pushed the Golden Bulls lead 17-14.
- Jacob Newman ran in for 21 yards out to extend the lead to 24-14.
- The Lions added one more touchdown before the Golden Bulls tacked on three more points to secure the win 27-20.
OFFENSIVE NOTABLES
- Robert Adams completed 14 of 28 passes for 127 yards and rushed in for one touchdown.
- Brevin Caldwell finished with three catches for 20.
- Jacob Newnam rushed for 104 yards on 20 carries and one touchdown.
