Golden Bulls Host Military Appreciation Day/ NABC Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers, Jan. 30

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team will participate in the annual American Cancer Society/NABC Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week during the Golden Bulls one home game this week.  Tuesday's game will also be Military Appreciation Day as the University of North Carolina at Charlotte ROTC will  present the colors before the women's game.

The Golden Bulls will host the Bears of Shaw University on Tuesday, Jan. 30 with the women's tip-off at 5:30 p.m., while the men will tip time is approximately  7:30 p.m.

Stephen Joyner, Sr., and his staff - - will wear sneakers on the sidelines to help bring attention to the fight against cancer. The Suits and Sneakers Week is a nationwide event that unites coaches across the country to raise awareness about the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society and to promote the organization as a place for help and support.
