Busy Weekend in JCSU Athletics

CHARLOTTE– A busy weekend for Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls athletics, as four teams will be in action over the next three days.
 
Events kick off on Friday, Nov. 8 as the bowling team hits the road to participate in the CIAA Event #1 hosted by Shaw University for the three-day tournament in Raleigh, N.C. The event will take place AMF/ Bowlero South Hills Lanes Cary, N.C.
 
The JCSU football team will conclude their regular season in the for the Commemorative Classic in Salisbury, N.C., as they take on rival Livingstone College. This will be the 90th meeting between the two school. JCSU won last year 38-17. JCSU leads the series 50-34-4. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
 
Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball program will begin its 2024-25 season this weekend under first year interim head coach Antwain Banks as he will lead team with a pair of games in the Earl Lloyd Classic hosted by West Virginia State University on Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9. The Golden Bulls will face Davis & Elkins on Friday at 5:30 p.m.; following a contest with host school West Virginia State on Saturday at 4 p.m.
 
The women's basketball team will open the 2024-25 season as they host the CIAA-SIAC Challenge on Nov. 9-10. The SIAC-CIAA Women's Basketball Challenge will feature Savannah State University and Edward Waters University from the SIAC and Elizabeth City State University and Johnson C. Smith University and from the CIAA. ECSU will play SSU at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday  and conclude with Edward Waters on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Golden Bulls will play Edward Waters at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, and Savannah State at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
