Desiree Smith scored 15 points but the Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team dropped an 57-47 decision to the Lions of Lincoln (Pa.) University inside Jack S. Brayboy Gymnasium on Monday afternoon.
Kamryn Williams added 11 points to go along with three rebounds while Smith grabbed eight rebounds on the night.
JCSU is now 3-6 overall and 0-2 in league play, Lincoln (Pa.) improves to 4-7 on the season and 1-3 in the CIAA.
For the contest, the Golden Bulls shot 36-percent from the floor (15-41), 30-percent from the three-point line (4-13) and nailed only 13-of-22 from the foul line for 59-percent.
The Golden Bulls will look to regroup and take on the Panthers of Virginia Union University on Thursday, Dec. 17 for a cross division match-up. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
