Betsey Burnett scored 18 points but the Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team dropped a 71-58 decision to Bowie State University inside the Jack S. Brayboy Gymnasium on Monday Morning.
Two other Golden Bull scored in double figures.
Kyshonna Brown scored 13, and coming of the bench
Tameia Shaw chipped in 10 points. Brown led the Golden Bulls with seven boards on the night.
For the contest, the Golden Bulls shot 42-percent from the floor (21-50), 35-percent from the three-point line (7-20) and nailed only 9-of-24 from the foul line for 37-percent.
The Golden Bulls will look to regroup when they travel to Savannaah State University for a non conference tilt on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2:00 p.m.
