Women's Basketball falls to SSU,63-49

CHARLOTTE – Kyshonna Brown scored 20 points but the Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team dropped an 63-49 decision to Savannah State University inside Tiger Arena in Savannah, Ga., on Sunday afternoon.
Betsey Burnett added nine points to go along with two steals while Brown led the Golden Bulls with five boards on the night.

For the contest, the Golden Bulls shot 29-percent from the floor (11-55), 22 percent from the three-point line (4-18) and nailed only 13-of-18 from the foul line for 72-percent. SSU (4-4) scored 13 points off of JCSU's 22 turnovers.

The Golden Bulls will look to regroup when they host Lincoln (Pa.) University for a conference tilt on Monday, Dec. 16 at 11:00 a.m.
