CHARLOTTE - Johnson C. Smith University softball is set to play its first home games this weekend at the Richard "Stick" Williams Field located on Tuckaseegee Road in collaboration with the Carolina Metro Reds Opening Day ceremonies. The Golden Bulls will take on Carolina University in a non-conference double header on Saturday, March 16, at 1 p.m.
 
After being on the road since February, the Golden Bulls enters the weekend home game with an 0-8 record.
 
In anticipation of an increased number of fans for Saturday's softball doubleheader game, fans are encouraged to bring chairs with them to the games to sit on the hill overlooking the field.
