Volleyball falls to Fayetteville State, 3-0

CHARLOTTE  – The Johnson C.  Smith University volleyball team fell to the Broncos of Fayetteville State University 3-0, (25-20, 25-23, 25-15) on Wednesday night inside historic Brayboy Gymnasium.

The Golden Bulls falls to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the CIAA, while the victory improved FSU's record to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in CIAA play.

Essence Rain-Peterson and Eliana Moultrie each had nine kills on the night. Yasmine Cannon dished out 11 assists on the night. On the defensive end, Monique Reid chipped 10 digs.

Up next, the Golden Bulls will stay at home at take on Southern Division foe the Bears of Shaw University on Monday, September 30. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
