CHARLOTTE - Coming off a big-time road win against Tuskegee last weekend, the Johnson C. Smith University Golden Bulls will face another SIAC opponent, the Tigers of Morehouse College on the road in a non-conference match up on Saturday, Sept. 7. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at B.T. Harvey Field in Atlanta, Ga.
The Golden Bulls opened the 2024 season with a 21-13 win over Tuskegee. After scoring the game's first touchdown in the opening quarter from JCSU, TU answered back to tie the game seven all in the second quarter. JCSU went into halftime tied 7-7 but found the endzone twice in the third quarter, including a 75-yard touchdown run to start the second half, to pull ahead and would hold onto that lead for the remainder of the game.

JCSU football moved up five spots in this week's HBCU D2 Coaches Poll announced by BOXTOROW. The Golden Bulls started the preseason poll at No. 9 before the season opener at Tuskegee.

The Morehouse College Tigers, a member NCAA Division II member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) is coming off a 28-11 loss at home against Edward Waters last weekend.
