Golden Bulls travels to Fayetteville State for CIAA Southern Division matchup

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University men's and women's basketball teams will travel to Fayetteville, N.C., to take on the Broncos of Fayetteville State University in a CIAA Southern Division doubleheader inside Capel Arena on Monday, January 13.

Tipoff is 5:30 p.m., for the women and 7:30 p.m., for the men. Since the new year, this is the third straight road game for both teams.
 
Last time out the women's team fell to Elizabeth City State 68-48, with an overall record of 3-9 and 0-5 in conference play. The men's defeated the Vikings , 71-55 which improves their record to 7-5 and 3-2 in the league.
 
Fayetteville State's women's basketball team are the defending CIAA Champions, has an overall record of 8-6 and 3-2 in the CIAA.
 
Fayetteville State's men's basketball team has had a solid season so far, with a record of 9-6 and 2-3 in the CIAA. Former Golden Bulls Ezekiel Cannedy and Javon Floyd are members of the Broncos team.
