JCSU on the road to take on Bluefield State

 
CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University men's and women's basketball teams will travel to Bluefield, West Virginia, to take on Big Blue of Bluefield State University in a CIAA Cross Division doubleheader inside Ned E. Shott Gym on Wednesday, January 15. Tipoff is 5:30 p.m., for the women and 7:30 p.m., for the men.
 
This is the fourth straight road game for both teams.
The women's team (3-10, 0-4) are looking to snap an eight-game losing streak and a seeking their first conference win of the season, after falling to Fayetteville State 77-62, on Monday night.
 
Bluefield State University women's basketball snapped a four-game losing streak after a 91-64 victory over Virginia University of Lynchburg. The Big Blue move to 7-6 (0-4 CIAA) on the year.
 
The JCSU men's team (7-6, 3-3) are looking to get back in the win column after falling to Fayetteville State, 68-58, on Monday night.
 
Bluefield State University men's basketball took down King University 104-95 to move to 9-5 (2-2 CIAA) on the year.
 
Last time these two teams met JCSU defeated Big Blue, 84-75.
