Box Score CHARLOTTE - Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team suffered its second loss of the week by the hands Bluefield State University by a margin of 93-91, Wednesday evening. With the loss, JCSU stands (7-7, 3-4 in CIAA) and Bluefield State is now 9-5 overall and 2-2 in the league.
Asa White led the Golden Bulls in scoring with 22 points off of 10-for-14 shooting from the floor, including 1-for-2 from the three-point line and 1-for-2 from the foul line. Ashton Sherell Tallied 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Three other Golden Bulls scored in double figures.
Javon Anderson had 17, while
Javian Cannady and
Jamauri Bryant scored 11 and 10 points respectively.
For the contest, JCSU out rebounded Big Blue 38-25. The Golden Bulls shot 53.1 percent (35-for-65) from the floor and 72.7 percent (18-for-25) from the charity stripe.
