scored 22 points but the Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team dropped an 73-50 decision to Shaw University inside Spaulding Gymnasium on Tuesday evening.
Tameia Shaw added 13 points to go along with three steals while
A'Qoyas Cody led the Golden Bulls with seven boards on the night.
For the contest, the Golden Bulls (5-12, 2-9) shot 28-percent from the floor (17-60), 25 percent from the three-point line (6-24) and nailed only 10-of-14 from the foul line for 71-percent. SSU (7-13, 4-6) scored 13 points off of JCSU's 20 turnovers.
The Golden Bulls will look to regroup when they host Winston-Salem State University for a conference tilt on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 5:30 p.m.
