MBB Falls to VSU, 75-68

Box Score ETTRICK, VA. - The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team fell to the Trojans of Virginia State University, 75-68 inside the VSU Multipurpose Center on Saturday afternoon in a Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Cross Division action. 
 
The top scorers of the evening featured both Ashton Sherrell and Javon Anderson each scoring 15 points. Christopher Ealy tallied 10 points on the afternoon.
   
JCSU held a halftime lead of 39-34, but in the second half VSU outscored the Golden Bulls 41-29 to secure the win at home. 

JCSU drops to 6-5 overall and 2-2 in the CIAA. VSU now improves to 9-4 overall and 3-0 in the CIAA. 

The Golden Bulls will return to action Monday, Jan. 6 as they travel to West Virginia to take on Bluefield State. Tip-off is now slated for 5:00 p.m.
