Charlotte, N.C. — Johnson C. Smith University Athletics is gearing up for an action-packed weekend highlighted by women's basketball on the road, the men's basketball home opener with the annual JCSU Tip-Off Classic, and a historic first-ever NCAA Division II Football Playoff game at home.
The Golden Bulls women's basketball team will travel to Tigerville, South Carolina to take on North Greenville for a midweek matchup. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. as JCSU looks to continue building momentum early in the season.
Men's Basketball opens home season inside Brayboy Gymnasium for the annual JCSU Tip-Off Classic, featuring four visiting teams: Livingstone College, Paine College, Morris College, and Virginia University of Lynchburg.

7:30 p.m. (approx.) – JCSU vs. Virginia University of Lynchburg
Saturday Schedule
2 p.m. – Livingstone College vs. Virginia University of Lynchburg
4 p.m. – JCSU vs. Morris College
Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Golden Bulls as they tip off their home season after the football game.
History will be made as 2025 CIAA Football Champions hosts its first-ever NCAA Division II Playoff game. The No. 11/13 ranked Golden Bulls will be taking on Frostburg State University at home. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
