CHARLOTTE - Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team advanced to the BCIC championship game with a 77-59 win over rival Livingstone College on Thursday evening inside Bojangles Coliseum. The Golden Bulls will face SIAC foe the Panthers of Clark Atlanta University who defeated the Panthers of Virginia Union University 72-64.
 
The championship game will take place on Saturday, March 22 inside Bojangles Coliseum. Tip-off is set for 12 noon.
 
The men's teams fell to CIAA foe Va. Union, 76-63, Thursday evening and will face Central State on Friday, March 21 in the consolation game. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
