JCSU Track posted several wins at Blue Bear Invite

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University men's and women's track team posted several wins at the Blue Bear Invite hosted by Livingstone College on Saturday.

Nicholas Francis placed first in the men's 100m with a time of 10.50 that ties the school record.  Tyvion Williams place first in the men's 800m with a time of 1:57.53, while teammate Amontae Wray also took first in the men's 100m hurdles. He clocked in a time of 14.58.
 
Vegas Newport ran a time of 54.69 in the men's 400m hurdles placing second.
 
In the field events, Jordae Wilson placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 14.82.
 
On the women's side, Nijah Lewis placed first in the triple jump with a mark of 11.53.
