CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University men's and women's basketball team will host the Bears of Shaw University in a CIAA Southern Division contest on Wednesday, Jan. 21, inside historic Brayboy Gymnasium. The women will tip-off at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men.

The women are coming off a tough loss on Saturday afternoon to Fayetteville State and look to bounce back. JCSU stands 6-9 overall on the year and 3-4 in conference play. This is the Golden Bulls seventh home game out of eight games since New Year's Eve.

On Saturday, the men's team fell to the Broncos of Fayetteville State University. The men are now 5-10 overall and 2-5 in conference play. Wednesday's game will be the men's sixth straight home game since the new year.
