CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Jamauri Bryant scored a game-high 29 points as the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University snapped a four game losing streak with a 90-77 victory over Shaw University in a CIAA Southern Division match up on Wednesday night in Brayboy Gymnasium.
The Golden Bulls led 44-37 at halftime and outscored Shaw 46-40 in the second half. JCSU shot 56.3 percent from the field and made 10 of 22 from three-point range.
Bryant's shooting was 8 of 12 from the field and 9 of 9 at the free-throw line.
Trey Pettigrew added 26 points and six assists. Johnson C. Smith went 26 of 33 from the foul line.
Shaw was led by Dreveon Scott and Avery Huggins with 15 points apiece. Alijah England scored 15 points off the bench.
