CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith University men's and women's basketball teams will travel to Raleigh, N.C. to take on the Bears of Shaw University in a CIAA Southern Division doubleheader at Spaulding Gymnasium on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
Tipoff is 5:30 p.m. for the women and 7:30 p.m. for the men.
The women's team is 7-13 overall, 4-9 in the CIAA and 1-5 in the division after falling to Livingstone, 63-51 on Saturday. Shaw stands 7-12 overall, 4-8 in the CIAA and 1-5 in the Southern Division. The Bears fell to the Broncos of Fayetteville State 73-37, on Monday night.
The Golden Bulls men's basketball is currently in third place in the southern division with a 9-11 overall record and is 6-6 in the league. JCSU is now 4-2 in the division with a season sweep of Livingstone, winning 77-69 on Saturday.
Shaw is 14-7 on the season, 6-6 in the CIAA and drops to 3-3 in the division, with an 89-83, loss to Fayetteville State.
