2010-11 Season: Played #2 singles and #1 doubles the entire season...finished 10-13 overall and 8-6 CIAA in singles...finished 8-16 overall and 6-7 CIAA in doubles play
Prior to JCSU/Personal: Graduate of Parkland High School…played #1 singles (sophomore & junior) for two years and #2 singles her senior year for Coach Dewayne Hawks…won the City/County Tennis Tournament in Winston-Salem…member of high school band (flag girl)…volunteers at cardiovascular doctor’s office…has worked at The Children’s Place…aspires to be a doctor…enjoys shopping…credits her father as her biggest influence because he always has new ambitions…chose JCSU because she received a scholarship…her goal at JCSU is to graduate at the top of her class…daughter of Richard and Tangela Akande…born 1-29-92.
