History
In 1966, while fellowshipping with friends, James (Jimmy) McKee suggested to friends the idea to band together in support of Johnson C. Smith University. From this gathering, the 100 Club was started. The name 100 was derived in support of the 100th anniversary of JCSU. Each member contributed $500 towards the university's centennial fund. At that time, the Club's membership was 34 men and was not open to women. In 1996 the Club opened its doors to women.
Today, the Club is commonly referred to as The Golden Bulls 100 Club. As the Club moves forward, we are proud of the following milestones:
* Elected our first-ever female president
* Doubled our club membership
* Donate over $100,000 in the past five years.
In addition to membership, the Club holds two signature events: JCSU 100 Club Golf Tournament & Blue Meet and Greet, and JCSU 100 Club CIAA Party.
