Biography

JOSEPH SULKOWSKI IS ENTERING HIS FIRST SEASON ON THE COACHING STAFF FOR GOLDEN BULLS FOOTBALL PROGRAM. Prior to joining the JCSU staff, Sulkowski served as the assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Greensboro College from 2007-2008. He was the recruiting coordinator and receiver coach at North Carolina A & T University from 2005-2007, passing game and recruiting coordinator at Hargrove Military Academy from 2004-2005, and the running back and tight end coach at his alma mater Chowan University from 2003-2004. While at Greensboro College, Coach Sulkowski coordinated an offense that broke or tied nearly 40 school, conference, and individual records in the span of two season. Under Sulkowski[apos]s tutelage, one GC receiver finished third nationally in receptions (2008 - 91 catches) and was named first team all-conference and all-region both years. At North Carolina A&T State University, he was responsible for the overall duties listed associated with being the recruiting coordinator: the planning of official and unofficial recruiting weekends, management of the recruiting budget on the Division I-AA level, designated in-state and national recruiting areas for a staff of eight, and worked with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse in regards to recruiting. Coach Sulkowski yielded three different 100-yard WR performances in an Aggies[apos] contest versus Florida A&M University (10/9/2005). One of Sulkowski[apos]s receivers at N.C. A&T tied the school record for receptions in a season (63) and broke the A&T record for receptions in a single game (16). During his stint at Hargrave Military Academy, Sulkowski and the coaching staff successful placed 34 student-athletes to Division IA instuition during the 2004-2005 season in the following conferences: Atlantic Coast Conference (9), Big East (4) Big XII (1), Conference USA (3), Mid-American Conference (5), Southeastern Conference (9), Sun Belt Conference (2), Independent (1). Sulkowski played wide receiver at Auburn University (1999-2000) and Valdosta State University (2000-2001), but battled ACL reconstruction. He eventually landed at Chowan as the starting Hawks receiver. Sulkowski (nicknamed Coach Ski) is a native of Tifton, Georgia. He earned his bachelor[apos]s of science degree in History from Chowan in 2003.
