Scott Morrison is a seasoned athletic trainer and sports medicine professional with almost 20 years of experience across collegiate athletics, professional sports, and healthcare systems. Currently serving as the Head Athletic Trainer at JCSU, he oversees the daily operations of sports medicine services for approximately 250 NCAA Division II student-athletes. His leadership has been instrumental in developing comprehensive policies and procedures, mentoring a dedicated team of certified athletic trainers, and ensuring high-quality medical care in collaboration with team physicians.
Prior to his current role, he contributed significantly to the Charlotte Football Club Academy, managing the health and performance of four youth soccer teams affiliated with the MLS parent team. His tenure at Slippery Rock University as a tenured instructor and clinical athletic trainer was marked by notable achievements, including authoring the university's concussion policy to align with NCAA regulations, introducing therapy dogs into clinical practice, and securing substantial funding to enhance athletic facilities. His efforts contributed to the football team's impressive records, including multiple NCAA Division II playoff qualifications, a national semi-finalist position, developing a Harlan Hill winner and 16 All-Americans.
He holds a Master of Public Health from Slippery Rock University, a Master of Education in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University. His commitment to professional development is evident through numerous certifications, including Certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and various specialized training in functional movement screens  and manual therapy. An active member of several professional organizations, he continues to contribute to the advancement of athletic training and sports medicine through education, mentorship, and innovative practice.
