Teana Lewis, DeJane James and
Maiya Green all scored in double figures to lead the Johnson C. Smith women's basketball to a convincing 78-63 victory over the Lady Panthers of Clark Atlanta University.
Lewis led all scorers with 17 points. James followed with 15 points while Green closed out the evening with 12 points.
Denajah Porter was short of a double-double with 10 rebounds to go with her six points.
JCSU jumped out to a 21-13 lead at the end of the first period and took a 46-39 lead into the locker room at the half. The Golden Bulls extended their lead to 62-46 after three periods cruising to their final margin of victory.
JCSU improves to 4-7 on the season while CAU falls to 2-12.
The Golden Bulls return to action when they travel to Bowie, Md this weekend to take on the Bulldogs of Bowie State University. Tipoff is set for 2:00 p.m. for the women and 4:00 p.m. for the men.
