RALEIGH N.C. – The Johnson C. Smith Golden Bulls women's basketball team defeated the Falcons of Saint Augustine's University 65-57 on Monday evening in a CIAA southern division contest in Emery Gymnasium.
The win improve the Golden Bulls record to 10-9 overall and 6-4 in the CIAA.
Aubriana Bonner led the Golden Bulls scoring with 15 points.
JCSU shot 32 percent from the field, 20 percent from behind the arc, and 68 percent at the line.
SAU shot 35 percent from the field, 23 percent from behind the arc, and 63.6 percent at the line.
The Golden Bulls will travel to Winston-Salem to take on the Rams of Winston-Salem State University. Tip off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
