CHARLOTTE - Johnson C. Smith University men's and women's basketball as well volleyball, will scuffle their sneakers on a newly painted court inside the Jack S. Brayboy Gymnasium this season.

The updated design, painted onto the existing wood, features a large logo, blue sidelines and gold writing. The inside of the lane has been switched to the natural wood color; a departure from the blue paint that previously filled the area under the basket.

Fans will enjoy the new midcourt Golden Bull logo in the tip-off area. Previously, the midcourt Golden Bull logo was smaller and inside a blue circle.

The new floor design incorporates the increased distance for the 3-point arc in men's basketball. The line was pushed back last season to 21 feet, 1 3/4 inches for Division I men's basketball. The change will be implemented by Division II and III men's teams in the 2020-21 season.

The Golden Bulls are the CIAA Southern Division Co-Champions for the 2019-20 season.
