WBB handles Vikings 70-49

CHARLOTTE - The Johnson C. Smith women's basketball team took control in the fourth quarter on their way to an 70-49 win at Brayboy Gym on Saturday afternoon.

Le'Zarea Bowens registered another double figure afternoon scoring, shooting 6-of 15 from the field on her way to scoring 16 points.  She also hauled in seven rebounds on the night. 

Maiya Green and Aubriana Bonner each scored 11 points for the Golden Bulls.

The Golden Bulls took over in the third quarter, building the lead to as many as 22 points at the 8:26 mark. 

In the fourth quarter, the Golden Bulls were able to build the lead to as many as 24 points. The Vikings could get no closer than 19 points the rest of the way, with JCSU earning the 70-49 win.

ECSU falls to 8-14 overall, 4-7 in CIAA play action while JCSU improves to 12-9, 6-6 CIAA.
