Cayse Minor Named to BOXTOROW Division II All-American Team

The 2020 BOXTOROW Division II All-America Team was announced on Wednesday with 12 players from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) were named to the team. Cayse Minor, a senior from Winston-Salem, N.C. named to the BOXTOROW Division II All-American first team for his performance this season.

Minor, completed the regular season as the league's forth leading scoring leader with 18.5 points per game. He also ranks seventh in free throw percentage (81.2%), and third in field goals made (118).).

So far this season, he has scored in double figures in every game he has played except three. His lowest was six points against Winston-Salem State.

His best scoring output of the season came in a 33-point outing against Livingstone College on Feb. 15.  In CIAA play, he scored his 1,000 point against Lincoln on Nov. 23 and against Bowie State he scored 31 points. He is also a CIAA Player of the Year nominee.

The CIAA had four players selected to the first-team and eight placed on the second-team led by Livingstone's Roger Ray, who was named Division II Player of the Year by the publication. Virginia Union's Terrell Leach, and Winston-Salem State's Robert Colon. 

Second-team selections include Bowie State's Saiquan Jamison, Elizabeth City State's Joseph Allen, Fayetteville State's Jalen Seegars, Lincoln's Deaquan Williams, Livingstone's Lydell Elmore, Shaw's Greyson Kelley, Virginia State's Andrew Corum, and Virginia Union's Jordan Peebles. All 12 CIAA standouts were also all-conference selections this season.

A total of nineteen players were selected to this year's All-America team. BOXTOROW has administered All-America teams since 2009.
