Gwyn scores 21 as the Golden Bulls defeat Paine, 81-64

CHARLOTTE -  The Johnson C. Smith University men's basketball team used a 11-1 run in the second half to defeat Paine College in a non-conference game Saturday afternoon inside  historic Brayboy Gymnasium.
 
Chaz Gwyn finished with a game-high 21 points, six rebounds and three assist, while Stephen Sherrill scored 14 points. Augustine Ominu and Austin Nelson each chipped in 12 points and Justin Goodloe rounded out the scoring with 10 points.
 
As a team, the Golden Bulls shot 46 percent (27-58) from the field and 81 percent (17-21) from the free-throw line and held a 18-6 advantage in second chance opportunities.
 
The Golden Bulls 2-2 will travel to Bluefield State University for a nonconference tilt on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m.
