CHARLOTTE - Ciara Harris scored nine points but the Johnson C. Smith University women's basketball team dropped an 63-39 decision to Augusta University inside Brayboy Gym on Saturday afternoon.
Aubriana Bonner added eight points to go along with two rebounds while Tori Reid led the Golden Bulls with eight boards on the night.
JCSU (2-1) trailed by 16 (32-16) at the break.
For the contest, the Golden Bulls shot 20-percent from the floor (11-55), 7-percent from the three-point line (1-13) and nailed only 16-of-29 from the foul line for 55-percent. Augusta (2-1) scored 31 points off of JCSU's 28 turnovers.
The Golden Bulls will look to regroup when they travel to Bluefield State University for a nonconference tilt on Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m.
